Travelers from around the world include the golden triangle tour of India on their North India travel itinerary. This tour encompasses three captivating Indian cities: the nation's capital, Delhi; the vibrant pink city, Jaipur; and Agra, home to the iconic Taj Mahal. This tour package through the Indian golden triangle promises to create unforgettable memories for travelers exploring India.
Day 1: Arrival in Delhi
Arrive at Delhi International or Domestic Airport in the evening or night, depending on your flight schedule. You'll be met and greeted by our representative at the airport, who will then transfer you to your hotel. Enjoy the afternoon for independent activities and stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 2: Exploring Delhi
After breakfast at the hotel, embark on a full-day tour of both Old and New Delhi in the afternoon. Old Delhi, once an ancient walled city, was transformed into the Mughal capital by Emperor Shah Jehan in 1650. You'll visit the magnificent Red Fort, a symbol of Mughal power and elegance, as well as Raj Ghat (Mahatma Gandhi's memorial), Jama Masjid (India's largest mosque), and the bustling Chandni Chowk market.
New Delhi, designed and built by the British in the 1920s, offers wide boulevards, impressive government buildings, and lush gardens. You'll visit two historical landmarks: Humayun's Tomb and Qutub Minar. Your drive will take you past India Gate, Parliament House, and the remarkable Bahai Temple (Lotus Temple). Enjoy an overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 3: Delhi to Agra (210 KMS / 4-5 HRS)
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Agra. On the way, visit Akbar's tomb in Sikandra. Continue your journey to Agra, where you'll check in at the hotel. The afternoon is free for independent activities, and you'll stay overnight at the hotel.
Note: Taj Mahal is closed on Fridays.
Day 4: Agra
Begin your day with an early morning visit to the exquisite Taj Mahal, a monument of love. Return to the hotel for a late breakfast and proceed to explore Agra further. Visit Agra Fort, which offers a captivating view of the Taj Mahal from its octagonal tower across the Yamuna River. In the afternoon, transfer to Taj View Hotel for lunch and visit the Pearl Mosque and the Tomb of Itimad-ud-Daula, built by Empress Noorjehan. Optionally, you can explore Agra's souvenir market and visit Oswal Emporium, where a mini Taj Mahal replica took 10 years to complete. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 5: Agra to Jaipur (260 KMS / 5-6 HRS)
After breakfast, drive to Jaipur, often referred to as "the abode of Rajahs." En route, visit Fatehpur Sikri, the deserted red sandstone city built by Emperor Akbar. Upon arriving in Jaipur, check in at your hotel and enjoy an overnight stay.
Day 6: Jaipur
After breakfast, embark on a half-day excursion to Amber Fort, located 11 km from Jaipur. Explore this marvelous example of Rajput architecture, and you can ascend the fort on the back of a beautifully adorned elephant, reminiscent of the Maharajas' style. The fort's interior features royal halls adorned with intricate ivory, mirror, and glass work, along with exquisite wall paintings.
In the afternoon, return to the city for a tour of Jaipur. Visit the City Palace Museum, showcasing a blend of traditional Rajasthani and Mughal art. You'll also see the awe-inspiring Jantar Mantar, an accurate observatory, and the Hawa Mahal, a five-story wonder with a stunning pyramidal facade. Enjoy an overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 7: Jaipur to Delhi and Departure (235 KMS / 4-5 HRS)
Spend the morning at leisure in Jaipur and, in the afternoon, drive back to Delhi. Upon arrival in Delhi, transfer to the airport for your onward flight, marking the end of your tour with cherished memories.
